Hi, I'm Lou
WHAT I DO
Hi, I'm Lou, a passionate and dedicated piano, yoga and meditation teacher based in London.

Most of our life is experienced through how we behave, feel and think. Yet quite often we are travelling on autopilot, sometimes losing our intentions and desires of how we'd like to be travelling through life.
My approach is rooted in active listening, empathy, and collaboration, aiming to empower people to find more joy and lightness in their life.

Some truths that I live by and base my teachings from are: that what you practice grows, our thoughts have power and what we decide to choose to focus on becomes our reality.
Our experience on this earth is based on how we choose to perceive our reality. And as you probably can tell through proof of your own life, is that when we do something over again repeatedly, it gets stronger. Whether these practices/habits are helpful or not, it is important to get aware of this. Having awareness of where you are at in your life, and getting clarity on where you want to be, can help in achieving amazing things whilst embracing and enjoying the journey totally on the way.

PIANO

With a blend of technical proficiency and a deep understanding of the transformative power of music, I strive to create an environment where students not only learn to play the piano but also cultivate a mindful connection to the art. I have struggled a lot with imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs and the pressures that came with studying piano yet all these struggles have taught me so much. My goal is to use what I have learnt from my personal experience alongside my music degree and meditation training to help others experience the joy and art of playing the piano.

MEDITATION AND YOGA

I first discovered the power of mediation and mindfulness when I first started practicing yoga in 2017 whilst going through a difficult time. Words cannot begin to express my gratitude towards yoga and the practice of self awareness and love. Through yoga I was able to fully experience the beauty in meditation. I strongly believe that learning to access more moments of being in the moment with grace towards yourself and others is one of the most important things that we can work on in our lives. My journey has inspired me to share what I have learned and as well as my future learnings too.
My approach is rooted in somatic practices, emphasising the importance of bodily awareness and mindfulness. Through carefully crafted sessions, I help individuals cultivate a deep connection with their bodies, fostering a sense of presence and self-compassion.

I am currently providing mindful and dynamic in-studio yoga classes in a non-judgemental space with wellbeing and mental health being at the forefront of my teachings @ THE HARE AND THE MOON (Twickenham).

The more transparent we our with ourselves and vulnerable in our beautiful authenticity, the more we can live and share a life of love, joy and ease.
